To answer both questions.. Yes and yes. WoL can be wonky on ASRock board. Previous BIOS version broke WoL. Current 3.20, my WoL is working fine. USB option can turn off power i believe. I turned it on to charge my phone. Go to Southbridge configuration and switch on Deep Sleep and try. Lastly, booting depends on your configuration of Memory timings. I've played around with my memory settings until I found a configuration that do not train memory every start up and just boots to splash screen right away. Having Samsung B-die memory helps too. am on 3.2 bios as well tried a few apps for wol and none worked so presume must be a bios setting issue, something that was missed both the usb staying on and wol are related to the southbridge configuration deep sleep right? how to "not train memory every start up"?

tried a few wol apps downloaded from the google play they worked on my notebook but not taichi so should be taichi bios settings edit: enable deep sleep will turn the usb off for the memory "training" is referring to cold boot right? even at the native 1866 speed and disabled xmp the bios

exhausted my knowledge on the settings to try so asking here hope is not router issue both taichi and notebook using win 7 so is legacy bios is comparing from total cold boot so more like comparing uefi vs bios is the beta 3.20a bios worth trying?

seems like is board issue whenever the magic packet is sent, can the see orange lan light light flash used magic packet receive and can see the packet details so definitely its not router problem and its either turn off or on both usb and wol together new bios 4.40 with is out, plenty of problems according to those on reddit the lack of quality controls is disappointing
