Hmm...TS should really look into the issues and not building a new PC, since a i7 6700k with GTX 1080 is still a very good PC for current gaming, Maybe U can tell us what games u were playig at what kind of settings. Next is that which monitor u were using? Moreover how much FPS are u getting for playing at that setting and resolution? Building another PC compared to your current one, I would said that u only gain a few FPS. But u still burn quite a lot of money (unless that is your least of your concerns.)
