If you disconnect the DSL8800GR from the main router, are you able to connect to the DSL8800GR wifi ?

What is the problem as it maybe due to the primary router issue, that is if the primary router is stable or not. Try to use this router as the primary router instead to see if it is stable or not. Btw what model is the dlink router as you may have to update the firmware.
