Hi all, I kinda got scammed and bought this 2years ago, buyer hid the fact that its only compatible with singtel business broadband because its a router that came along with it. Now I'm just wondering if it is even possible at all to reconfigure and use this router at all? Router = Aztech DSL8800GR(S) ADSL2
Unable to use Aztech DSL8800GR(S) ADSL2
bumppppppppppppppppppp
You can use it only as an AP. Router > Ethernet cable > AP
Hey xonix thanks for the reply! I did the connection like this modem -> Router -> PC using the ethernet cable but I was unable to receive any internet connection. The light representing internet was red.
Connect to Router WAN port. For fibre broadband ISP supplied ONT Port-1 is for internet only.

The light representing internet was red. Do the following in the aztech settings Disable dhcp, connect from router to any of aztech 4 lan ports. Don't connect to WAN, it won't work for an AP.
@Zealtee, in order to setup your Aztech DSL8800GR as AP, after you disable the dhcp on the Aztech DSL8800GR, you need to connect it as a secondary router as below : That is what @xonix trying to highlight to you. BTW, what ISP are you trying to use with the Aztech DSL8800GR ADSL router ?
@tungsten2 @xonix thank you for the prompt reply and help! I will try out the new settings and post an update asap. My ISP is starhub at the moment. I understand that I am only able to use the aztech router as an AP (whats the value of this actually), so does that mean that my setup needs to be like this: modem -> router -> Aztech router -> computers? My primary D-link router is getting old and cranky and initially I wanted to replace this with the aztech router... is that not possible?
Yes, modem -> router -> Aztech router -> computers Dlink routers got 3 years warranty. I replace both in january this year. Now working swee swee.

The wifi feature on the other hand doesn't work at all.
